Pervasive 9.5 is the only version BS&A software supports on Windows 7. If you have an older version, please contact BS&A to obtain upgrade information.

BS&A and Vista Information

 

 

This section contains information on how to run BS&A software properly with Windows(R) Vista as well as other Vista related information.

Configuring Vista/Pervasive for BS&A Software

Pervasive and Vista
By default, the security settings in Vista block pervasive from starting up properly.  Since BS&A applications depend on the proper running of pervasive, Vista must be configured to allow pervasive to do so.  The following document shows how to do this configuration:

Help file Issue
Our help files use the version of Microsoft(R) help that comes with Windows(R) XP and 2000.  These files are no longer compatible with Vista.  Microsoft(R) has released a hotfix to allow the running of these help files.  In order to use the help files in our software, you must download an update to the Vista operating system.  You can download the hotfix for Vista help here:

Before you download and install this hotfix, please remember that this is a product from Microsoft. BS&A is not responsible for updates, or changes to your operating system provided by Microsoft.


Other BS&A and Vista Information

Novell Client for Vista
The Novell client for Vista has a known compatibility issue with Pervasive.  This issue can cause the machine to blue screen, lock up, and reboot.  The error information and a solution to this issue can be found on Pervasive's website here:
