Common Look & Feel

With over 96% of the State of Michigan customers of at least one of BS&A’s property applications, we knew that a consistent look & feel across all of our applications was of primary importance.

Because of this, we devoted several years and thousands of man-hours to our company-wide development framework. This framework is shared by all BS&A software applications and provides many benefits, chiefly:

  • A template used by all BS&A developers ensures that each application inherits basic user interface standards. This consistency allows users of multiple BS&A applications to feel comfortable navigating any one of them. Common tools and utilities appear in the same spot across BS&A applications.

  • Code shared among our software developers enables us to quickly add features to existing applications, and to create new applications.

  • Because our framework ensures a consistent way of communicating between our applications, we have been able to create much tighter integration between the BS&A software applications. This tighter integration allows for greater productivity and less duplication of effort for our municipal customers.
