Our Business Licensing application is a complete, easy-to-use licensing program that provides extensive table views and editing screens for tracking businesses and their licenses. Throughout the program, municipalities can enter an unlimited number of Business, Owner, Manager, and Employee records, and link parcel-based names/addresses with the BS&A Assessing or BS&A Tax database.
Entering, Renewing, and Printing Licenses
The program allows users to select from an unlimited number of License Types, and also makes renewing licenses quick and easy. Municipalities have the option of using the license format included with the program, or designing their own licenses to meet specific needs.
Payments, Penalties, and Late Charges
Payments can be entered toward multiple licenses based on the current business, or entered for a single license. Users have the option of manually entering or utilizing our Auto Spread option when taking payments on license fees, penalties, and late charges. In addition, penalties and late charges can be applied either as fixed dollar amounts or percentages when the license fee is past due.
Integration with BS&A Financials, Tax, and Assessing
Tight integration with BS&A General Ledger, Cash Receipting, and Accounts Payable allows users to take in payments, refund overpayments, and post to General Ledger. When businesses are added to the Business Licensing program, parcel numbers, owner names, and other details can be pulled from the BS&A Tax or Assessing database.
Historical Invoice Tracking
Historical Invoice Tracking allows customers to view previously-generated invoices that were tied to the business license.
Business statements can be generated to view the transaction history for a business, and can be calculated as of a particular date.
GIS integration allows users to view where specific businesses are located.
Customized letters may be generated and attached to business accounts, increasing customer communication and reducing clerical tasks.
