Advanced Formula Calculation
A formula calculator allows you to be in complete control of your project calculations. Include Assessed Acres, Property Class, and six additional factors that range from manually-set to imported, including acreage factor table and property class factor table factors. Additionally, any factor can be filled by a field value such as first acre, remaining acres, or SEV.
The Drain Assessment .NET Excel functionality provides the ability to pass data back and forth from Excel, giving you a very powerful tool to export parcel and project data, analyze and alter parcel fields, and import complete projects back into Drain Assessment .NET.
Additionally, assessment rolls from engineering firms can be imported in the format of Excel, Text, or Comma Separated Value.
Equalization Integration/Check for Splits
Our Drain Assessment .NET/Equalization .NET integration allows for easy update of names, addresses, property classes and full acreage directly from Equalization .NET.
The Check for Splits utility allows you to easily find possible splits and combinations using a range of customizable criteria: date the property split, date the legal description changed, property status, and property class.
The Project’s Annual Settings feature allows the total amount of the project to be spread by amount, or percent by year. The amount borrowed is used to calculate interest for the project, which can also be spread by amount or percent by year.
Our Drain Assessment .NET/GIS integration allows for a direct link between your data and GIS maps, giving you a very powerful tool to view data, plot various project/parcel datasets, and view complete projects.
You may also import complete projects from GIS, setting the assessed acres to the area of the parcel residing within the given drain district’s boundary lines. The database is linked directly to your GIS files, so no exports are required.
Drain Assessment .NET’s parcel details provide all the data necessary to analyze, adjust, payoff, split, or combine a parcel within the given project. The payment schedule allows for original or remaining schedule views and the payoff calculator allows for post date interest calculations to be emailed or printed directly from the report view.
At-Large Administration and Collection
At-large entities are separated by type and can be set by amount or percent. MDOT 14A calculations can be used to determine road yield and benefit percent. At larges can be invoiced, and receipts will be generated upon entry of collection.
Year-End Processing includes printing by-year assessment rolls, printing at large invoices, and creating exports to the local units to be imported into Property Tax .NET as a drain special assessment. Annual project totals and Clerk certification reporting is also available.
Centralized Administration Database
A centralized Administration Database is shared across all applications. Among other benefits, this eliminates the use of redundant user records, greatly improving user administration. Additionally, the use of Groups eliminates the need to set up individual user security by letting you set the same rights for a batch of users at once.
Reminders help you keep track of important events, tasks, and deadlines, and can be assigned to specific parcels. An Item Display Filter gives you the option to view All, Expired, or Future reminders. A snooze feature temporarily dismisses the reminder so you can continue with your work.
Comprehensive Audit Trail
Every field and process in Drain Assessment.NET has a corresponding audit trail. In addition to all of the project/parcel fields and processes, all Program Setup areas are audited.
